Usually I don’t share bridal portrait photos. Somehow just getting my website updated with wedding photos (and naturally the actual floral design work) seems to keep me busy. But in this case, I just had to make an exception for two reasons. First, I was super happy with this bouquet. It was gorgeous, lush, and youthful. It totally suited Meredith. Second, we totally changed up the floral look after her bridals to coordinate the flowers more with the recently purchased groomsmen shirts. The gorgeous coral crush peonies were just going to be a bit too pink. We wanted to stay with coral, just a warmer, more yellow-orange coral.
One of the reasons I love to do bridal portrait bouquets for my brides is because it is the perfect opportunity to test out and then refine a design. I’d love to do something similar for future brides: white football mums, coral crush peonies, flowering jasmine vine, anenomes, white majolica spray roses.
Be on the lookout for a post on Meredith and Jake’s summer wedding at the Heritage House in Dripping Springs. I should be getting back her wedding photos soon.
