I was lucky enough to meet bride Melissa on one of the first weddings I ever did as Little Yellow Flower Design. Melissa was good friends with Mandi and since Mandi’s wedding was huge and out of town, Mandi sent some friends including Melissa to help me wrap bouquets, make flower crowns, and all the little details that take so much time on the day of a wedding. Having people to help out on the day of the wedding made the day fun and the work flew by. Melissa was sweet enough to keep me in mind when she got engaged and I really enjoyed helping her create her vision for her classic Austin wedding.

Melissa and Ryan held their ceremony at Central Christian Church in downtown Austin. Central Christian is a gorgeous, classic, older church. It’s architecture provides a beautiful backdrop and really doesn’t need too much embellishment at all.

Melissa and Ryan were married in January and she chose a mostly white with pops of purple and green color palate. It suited the season!

After their ceremony, Melissa and Ryan held their reception in the classic Stephen F. Austin Hotel downtown. For the record, I love working in hotels. All of the staff are always so incredibly nice, they lend me carts, let me keep my car in valet front parking for free… it’s so great! The Stephen F. Austin is just a gorgeous building and my team and I had fun setting everything up.
